Hi, I'm Julie and welcome to UP!CYCLEIT 💚

It all started with my two rabbits who made it their life's mission to destroy their beds and houses. I sewed, they destroyed. I repaired, they destroyed again. And so it went on and on.

At one point, I realized that I didn't want to keep buying new fabrics and creating more textile waste. Instead, I started looking for ways to create more sustainably – without buying new materials and using stronger fabrics.

MY MAIN GOAL IS TO REDUCE THE AMOUNT OF TEXTILE WASTE AND GIVE MATERIALS A SECOND CHANCE.

I reached out to local Czech businesses and found that they had a lot of beautiful fabrics that they no longer used. Then I discovered a textile collection company and found treasures that were about to end up in a landfill. And so the idea for UP!CYCLEIT was born – to give new meaning to old materials and sew them into practical, original products.

I have already acquired over 30 kg of quality fabric scraps and vintage textiles , from which I plan to create approximately 100 new products . I can make cosmetic bags and laptop cases from old denim, and beautiful and durable pet beds from fabric scraps - simply something that instead of going to the trash, gets a second chance.

What I enjoy most about upcycling is finding beauty in what no one wants anymore and transforming it into something unique and functional. I hope my products will bring joy not only to you, but also to our planet💚
